*Boop!*
At Casa Bayouwulf….. it’s a toasted bagel with cream cheese!
And they know that a bite will be forthcoming.
My border collie Kirby knows exactly where the dog treat cabinet is and will make a beeline for it if he knows or thinks that it’s time for a dog treat. We had a beagle mix named Jones when I was a kid who would suddenly become your best friend if you had any beef jerky on you and he let you know it to give him some. Dogs can hear anything even slightly moving outside at night and let us know that they need to go outside to investigate.
All I can say is thank goodness we humans don’t have as effective smellers as animals. Imagine walking along a crowded street in a city – sensory overload!

“Whatโs That I Smell?”
All the corruption that DOGE is exposing in the swamp!
Cute!
Kitty knows (probably smells it) which drawer I keep the nip in and stands in front of it meowing when she wants some.
