My guess is she is trying to make the point that assuming your baby will be heterosexual is just as “absurd” as assuming your baby is gay.
You should curb any language, behavior, or actions that assume your child is heterosexual. Don’t interact in any way that discusses sexual attraction as they develop, and assume a neutral position on the oft-chance your offspring is way outside the mainstream.

It was women who took the word of Jesus to heart and basically saved humanity during a period of time when inhumanity to man was status quo. It was women, the gentle sex, who managed to get men to become more aware and sensitive to the value of life. It was women who nurtured the old and the sick which, over time, was the beginning of mankind developing value in humanity. It was the religion of compassion and the message within that women learned from the teaching of Jesus Christ and subsequently taught men to become more humane.
