Immigration “reform” meant “let everyone in.”
Prison “reform” means “let everyone out.”
Democrats who control the state Legislature want to make New York prison inmates eligible for parole once they reach 55 after serving 15 consecutive years.
The measure introduced in the Senate by Sen. Brad Hoylman, D-Manhattan, doesn’t mandate an inmate’s release at 55 but would allow the state parole board to evaluate whether an older prisoner should be released.
Hoylman introduced the bill a week before parole was granted Wednesday to 69-year-old Judith Clark, who has served more than 37 years for being the getaway driver in a 1981 armored truck robbery in Rockland County that left two police officers and a security guard dead.

Suggestion: Add those first two sentences to an iOTWReport ‘Top 10 List’ regarding Democrats.
Because New York needs them out of prison and working so they can tax their income.
and I’m sure medical records and projected future expenses will have nothing to do with it.
Keep them where they belong- they have earned that.
If this passes, then the age factor will be lowered, then the years served…
This is about finances, and being spun as ‘humanitarian.’
Hogwash
I have ALWAYS been suspicious of ‘reform’. It is one of those very over used broad terms that can mean many things for either side.
Sounds like some sort of retirement plan. Age 55 and 15 years of service.
Give me a freaking break.
And preaching tolerance.
they’ve deformed transform into reform
same old same old
The Left uses everything and everybody.
At least make it 65 so they can go straight to Social Security and Medicare, assuming they still exist then…
