Where are America’s Drowned Cities?

AT: Global warming lengthens the growing season and increases net rainfall worldwide. The enrichment of the atmospheric carbon dioxide accelerates the rate of plant growth. These are all very positive developments, both for humanity and for wild nature. As a result of climate change, the Earth is becoming a more fertile planet.

Nevertheless, say the representatives of the green movement, economically destructive — and highly regressive — carbon taxes must be imposed, because otherwise global warming will result in catastrophic floods of coastal areas.  read more

  1. Global human caused warming and carbon taxes, all BS, nobody cares about it except activist loons and politicians wanting the loon vote.

What have Trump and Cruz said about it, somebody here prolly knows off the top of their head.

    ?

  2. Uncle Al,
To make it more clear (confusing?), the Gubberment incompetence involved was at the city level (maybe county, maybe state, unsure).
At the FedGov level, the Army Corps of Engineers that built the levees and gates and created Lake Pontchartrain, had continually wanted to repair and upgrade that system, but were prevented by (tahh dahh, you guessed it!) Local DemonRats. When Hurricane Katrina was approaching, the Corps wanted to open the floodgates to Lake Pon, so it could absorb the tidal shock (it’s original purpose for being built). Again, prevented by (again tahhh dahh!) Local DemonRats.

So, Da Mayor’s “Chocolate City” took the brunt for his incompetence.

  3. The first sentence succinctly captures the positive aspects of global warming.

It is easy to find graphs showing that plant/food growth rates increase with carbon dioxide partial pressure. Keep one around, and ask your GW zombie friends if the Maldives are more important than food.
