White House’s “Washington Crossing the Delaware” To Be Auctioned Off

UK Daily Mail

The famous ‘Washington Crossing the Delaware‘ painting, which hung in the White House from the 1970s to 2014, is coming up for auction next month, when it is estimated to fetch about $20million.

The 1851 oil painting is one of three versions painted by Emanuel Leutze of the man who was to be the first U.S. president leading troops during a key moment of the American revolution. Only two survive.

The first version was destroyed during a World War Two air raid in Germany, said American Art specialist Paige Kestenman at Christie’s New York. More

  1. Who presently owns the painting?
If it is the US Government, why is it being sold?
Are all Nation Treasures to be auctioned off like Biden’s influence?
Will it too be bought by China?

  2. …just imagine how the future will regard OUR political art.

…somehow, I don’t think the Hunter spit art on black velvet of “Mike Pence Crossing The Aisle” will be NEARLY as well regarded.

  3. Wow, that is so sad. We went to the Met several times, when the boys were young, to see it. It’s breath taking when you see it from afar and getting closer and closer. It’s truly a masterpiece.

You know, I’m not worried anymore. I feel it.

    Everything will work out. Patience.

But you need to say your prayers everyday!

    God Bless us all!
