Tim: Communism never collapsed in China, it just became economically stronger after the fall of the Soviet Union and the Eastern European countries under communist dictatorships. China was supposed to reform and become more open and free as it became more liberal after its population was exposed to Western values. Remember Tiananmen Square? The communists who ruthlessly control China are willing to enforce their control over the populace with another dozen massacres if that’s what it takes. I used the euphemism as an illustration of Soviet Socialism’s seeming collapse under the pressure of “Star Wars” and Reagan’s economic assault while bearing in mind the fact that it simply changed masks. Communism, like all other nihilist, Satanic philosophies, is merely a means to dictatorial rule: to tyranny: to oppression: to the total enslavement of humanity. It is fraudulent on its face. This was the guy that lit the fuse on the panic that followed. When he said that something like 100,000,000 would be infected with a 3.4% death rate. It didn’t matter that a few days later he admitted to making a math mistake in his estimates and the numbers were more like a bad flu year, the horses were out of the gate. Trump should now take the opportunity to defund WHO as a first step to stepping out of the UN. On the other hand maybe the US can stay around long enough to lead the charge on removing China from the Security Council and any other group they belong to and reducing them from member state to observer status until they learn to play with others.
Tim: I agree with everything you have written. My point was that the West is dealing with a Communist Country that has modernized but not reformed. We’ve help to make them successful and more powerful and dangerous. The Red Army and the Chinese Communist Party is not going to be dictated to by any Western leader about the way they handled their Wuhan Pandemic, anymore than they are going to surrender the islands in the South China Sea that they have stolen and militarized. For every President Trump they come up against, they will have another Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to sell out America when the time comes around in a decade or two. They are playing the long game. This is just a minor setback in their public relations.

Fifteen years ago I was working with a guy from china while we prepared a production line at our chinese plant for the product we just developed. He came over to the states for two weeks. I offered to take him to DC to see the sites during the middle weekend. As we walked around the city I tried to discuss concepts of government with him. He had know idea what a constitutional republic was and how our government worked. He also knew nothing about the history of our country. Anytime I mentioned details he would try to compare to PRC, always insinuating PRC was a better government, although he never called it communism. When I tried to have a meaningful discussion he would get agitated. We passed a group of chinese people and they said something to him in his native language and he replied back curtly. I then realized he was nervous that someone could overhear and that he could get into trouble, even half a world away. Other than this conversation he was a really nice guy. Those poor people are prisoners in their own country.
