He always seemed on the threshold of superstardom. – Dr. Tar

R.I.P. Val
First movie I saw him in was “Real Genius”. Really liked him in “Willow” and “Thunderheart”. I saw him in many other movies, too.
He was pretty good in a stinker of a movie, “Red Planet” but he had the best line ever: They crashed on Mars far from the landing site they intended. In order to find where they were and how to get to the landing site, two of the geeks were working it out using math. As he stood watching them, he commented “This must be what my teacher meant when he said that someday Algebra will save our lives.”
RIP Val.
I liked “Ghost and the Darkness” a lot and he was the main reason. I know he played Batman but I don’t remember which one that was (Was it against the Riddler and Two Face or against Poison Ivy and Dr. Freeze, both were forgettable.)
When he played Jim Morrison in “The Doors” and even SINGING in the role it was incredible how he embodied Morrison. And he could be funny too (Top Secret !) May he Rest in Peace, Amen.
He had that personable quality that made me want to like everything he appeared in, even the stinkers. That’s rare, and I’ll miss it, and him. RIP
I don’t think anyone will ever want to take on the role of Doc Holiday again. He just nailed it.
I viewed that several times! Love the way he has his arm behind himself while sauntering out and SO COOL!
There’s an exceptionally well done documentary about Val, on Prime. He was extraordinary! Very sorry about this sad news.
RIP
Enjoyed his work.
Godspeed, Val Kilmer. A better actor than most of his contemporaries when he had the right roles. Kilmer was often the most watchable actor in any scene he was in. He’s probably twirling a silver drinking cup and smiling that sly grin about now.
RIP, Val Kilmer. He was a great actor and I enjoyed his work.
