Colorado’s Eastern Plains are ground zero for one of the strangest phenomenon in the United States: Since mid-December, a legion of unexplained drones with 6-foot wingspans have flown the night skies over at least nine counties in eastern Colorado and western Nebraska, inspiring wild conspiracy theories, perplexing agencies and confounding residents.
The Federal Aviation Administration and Colorado Department of Homeland Security are investigating the bizarre flights, as Gov. Jared Polis and U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner vow to get to the bottom of what has become a national mystery.
Local sheriffs and residents are concerned and bemused by the hubbub. But they yearn to figure out the origin behind the strange visitors. More
Probably weed farmers checking on their “fields”, scattered in people’s backyards and other vacant lots.
“Some people reported the drones flying in packs.”
Feral drones are particularly vicious when traveling in packs. Don’t stare them right in the camera.
Black ops testing but you’ll never know as these agencies answer to nobody.
I cant believe Good Ole Boys aren’t shooting them down, taking the carcass to the local joint, and dissecting the remains on the pool table. Should be fun to see who shows up to claim it.
SAC? – aka Strategic Air Command…
I read one article about these that warned against shooting them. Seems to me that is what needs to happen.

This story has been running for weeks. I find it hard to believe that NO ONE knows what’s going on. I mean, you can’t fart anymore without everyone knowing about it.
I had a dog that I taught to work on the smell of castor oil. The military was using a lot of radar drones for practice on Ft Lewis about 25-30 years ago. They lost a lot of them and I couple get pretty good money out of the engines and radio sets. It wasn’t cost effective for the military to find them, but it sure was for me. The drones were Styrofoam and had about a six foot wingspan.
The plane itself was usually busted into quite a few pieces. They used really expensive engines in them though and the hobby shop owner would buy any I would bring him.
Hmm? These sorts of things usually involve anal probing. Wonder why there haven’t been any complaints?
I, like SS, find it difficult to believe no one has shot one down yet. Certainly the local boys are up to the job…
I for one welcome our alien overlords. They said I could keep my AR-15’s. I do think they’re going to eat the rest of you though.

It’s Colorado.
They enjoy the anal probing.

It could be that shooting one down poses the same challenge that the Germans had shooting down a Fairey Swordfish. If they could depress the guns low enough to hit the Swordfish the shell passed right through w/o doing any significant structural damage. That is what allowed the Fairey Swordfish to get in close enough to the Bismark to get a torpedo into her rudder.

I’m not worried. Everybody exaggerates their Grindr profile.
WHEW! Who farted?
They’re looking for the enema hole that sends both the Californians and east coasters back whence they came…..
An Ithaca Mag-10 with goose loads should play hob with these things.
They are testing the AI in drone swarm navigation.
The brain needs to be functional before scaling the drones down to bug size for large area surveillance
Our trusting government knows, but its been redacted.
What is worse is the massive leftist droning that has been flying over the entire country. Annoying Americans & destroying America for several years, with a wing that reaches from Maine to Hawaii, and a fuselage that spans the distance from Fla. to Alaska. Nearly impossible to escape the tedious blabbering. With a little good luck, the engine will soon grow weary of it, too. Stop working, and the whole thing crash due to it’s own heavy cargo load of trash talk.
Anybody in Colorado actually see these drones; that is, anybody NOT STONED OUT OF THEIR MINDS like Towelie and Randy Marsh?
Shoot one down and see who comes looking for it.
