Peepholes found in men’s restroom at interstate rest areas.
Transportation workers say they’ve found six peepholes in the men’s restrooms at two rest areas on Interstate 40 in North Carolina.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office told local news outlets that workers reported the peepholes at the rest areas near Benson on Monday. Capt. Jeff Caldwell said the holes were in the walls of the bathroom stalls.
There were four holes at the rest area along the westbound lanes and two in the bathrooms at the rest area along the eastbound lanes.
The damage was estimated at nearly $5,000 and has been repaired. Investigators think the holes were drilled sometime between Jan. 24 and Jan. 28.
No peepholes were found in the women’s bathrooms at those rest areas.
Deputies are reviewing surveillance video from the area. No victims have come forward.

Pfft – big deal. If I had a dollar for every peephole or (more commonly) glory hole I’ve seen in public restrooms over the years, I probably could’ve retired earlier. I can’t believe they’re suddenly such a shocking revelation to everybody. Anyway, all you have to do is install metal partitions between the stalls instead of wooden ones. More expensive, of course, but hey – problem solved.

The ARE DEPARTMENT bathroom on the near-by university, was so notorious as a gay “glory-hole” meeting place, a police officers was assigned duty there to stop it. One member of the administration was CAUGHT soliciting gay sex there as well.
The eventually removed the doors to the toilets, and posted a sign on the door notifying everyone that it is IN FACT an actual bathroom, not a gay sex club.
