InsideGov.com rated members of the House of Representatives by the number of bills they sponsored that made it to committee versus time in office, something they call the Effectiveness Score.
They provide the bottom 35 most ineffectual House members.
You only have to go down the list seven places before the Effectiveness Score goes to 0%.
I’ll give you the five lowest rated Congress critter.
#5 Leonard Lance (NJ-R)
#4 Andre Carson (IN-D)
#3 Donna Edwards (MD-D)
#2 Jim Jordan (OH-R)
#1 Steven King (IA-R)
Cong Jim Jordan is a freshman from my district. I like his style…. not a showboater but a good country conservative.
Why do they always have to be making laws. New laws usually mean less freedom for us. They’re probably benefitting the people more by doing nothing.
And he heads up the Freedom Caucus, of which Dave Brat is a member as well as 38 additional known members. Word is they have allies who prefer not to be listed.
I support the *repeal* of old laws, stupid laws. We should pass a law that for every new law passed, it is necessary to repeal ten old ones. …..Lady in Red
Yep. This “effectiveness” rating is about as meaningful as ” jobs created or saved”.
Off topic, but I like you’re picture P38. My dad was in a P38 squadron in WW2 Bouganville south pacific.
The criteria for effectiveness is what?
More Laws? Who brings home the pork projects? How much money you have or can raise? More bullshit do nothing committees assignments?
Using questionable Government provided data and user ratings for ranking in some categories causes me pause.
Who are insidegovt.com? By the looks of user ratings and comments it sure doesn’t appear to be a conservative site.
My least effective congressmen would include the deceivers (liars) and their anti-constitutional voting record.
The leadership of both parties belong at the top of this shit list as well as most congressmen……
ANYWAY……if they are ranked the least effective to the most, “what difference does it make at this point” ……as a whole Congress is an arrogant, ineffective, well paid, pampered, greedy good old boys club, who can be bought and sold by political committees, special interests, the media or biased polls.
Hats off to your dad, Whiskeycart. He flew the best all-around fighter of the war.
Got an email from my rep asking my opinion on marihuana legislation. I replied back saying we have bigger fish to fry now secure our damn borders.
My dad was the radio repair guy. He wore glasses which would not allow him to fly. He did get a ride in one though. With the radio removed there is room for a second person.
Right on, LiR! You and Whiskeycart are on the money. The constant barrage of law passing is nonsense. Time to start getting rid of a lot of the crap that passes for “a law”. About the only law I would support at this point is one that mandates Term Limits for ALL of Congress. Time to throw a lot of these bastards out!!
Couldn’t have put it any better myself!
Do they ever assign an effectiveness score to the multitude of laws, rules and regulations that get passed each and every year? Why don’t they list the 1000 most worthless, ineffective and unnecessary laws passed each year, who sponsored them and how much they cost?
3 RINOs and a couple of Dimwits, whoda thunk it?
Last session the house passed almost 400 bills over to Harry Reid’s desk and he sat on them or ate em or whatever.
The listing of each congressmans net worth is meaningless unless you include their net worth BEFORE they tool office. Now THAT would be an interesting statistic.
Unslung is right. By the way Unslung he will be at the Amherst township hall on day next week. I went last time he was here, stayed after and spoke to him for a few minutes. First and only time i have ever done either one of those things. I hope i’m not wrong, but i think he really is a good Dude.
If you go, i will be there. But be forewarned, the “oberlin” people will show up. They are usually pretty easy to pick out of the crowd. If they are the people who live on the edge of town, and farm, not so much. The rest, well…i don’t want to be acused of stereotyping. Just drive down around the college some day, and you will see 🙂
Jim Jordan and Steve King are great congressmen. This article is a RINO smear.
Heh heh. SHakeNbaKe, I used to drive up to Oberlin from Ashland County back in the 80s, to visit the Army surplus store that was there and to see the freak show at Oberlin College. ‘Twas better than the zoo and cheaper too!
