Ever advancing
and should have been flown upside down during the 8 yrs of obama
I can’t believe there are people who don’t comprehend why this is so. 🙄
BAYOUWULF, SAME PEOPLE WHO CHECKED THE BOX FOR OBAMA AND CLINTON – STUPID, CLUELESS PEOPLE!!
“CORPSEMAN”!!!
Benito, I believe you are correct!
Stupidity should hurt.
I never made it to colonel, but I remember when my reserve commander made it and he was schooled by a general about the eagle head facing forward, not back.
Never had to worry about that as major leaf is stem down with no difference left or right.
Those paratroopers in WWII should have worn the flag patch
with the stars on the bottom.
It annoys me that the flag is displayed incorrectly at a local rural laundromat. With the union next to the building. Not at the end of the flag pole, which is horizontal. I’ve attempted to request the owner change it but he’s never there. While I appreciate his desire to fly the flag he ought to display it correctly.

The Kabul XO sent me a flag along with a certificate from Afghanistan, “certifying” that this was the actual flag my son flew in his Apache on a mission in March. (Army PR, but still kind of cool.) The certificate depicts a photo of an Apache helicopter, with its tail on the left and nose on the right, and a flag draped out inside the front right side window. Out of curiosity, I just went and checked the certificate, and yup, the flag is displayed “backwards”. Didn’t notice it before. Probably because, yes, that’s how it would be moving.
I thought everyone knew that.
Who ever determined that our flag has a front and back?
Thanks for the explanation regarding the flag. I actually didn’t know this, but had wondered why the flag on military uniforms were display they way they are.
But what if they are advancing in a leftward direction?
What if we’re leading from behind?
