A wildfire broke out in Southern California on Thursday afternoon, growing to over 5,000 acres by Friday and forcing evacuations in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
A Friday morning update from the Los Angeles County and Ventura County fire departments stated that as of 9 am local time, 4,856 acres have burned in the Canyon Fire and the fire was 25 percent contained. As of Friday afternoon, that number has grown to 5,370 acres. 400 personnel are at the scene battling the blaze, and the cause is still under investigation.

A few moments later the LACoFD dispatched their initial response to mitigate potential threats across the county line. Due to the fast-moving nature of the fire Ventura upgraded their response to a 2nd Alarm at 1:33 pm,” the incident update read. read more

I wonder if the hydrants are still empty?
Can we get the 70’s band America to sing Ventura Highway in the background.
Does “a fire sale” have a familiar ring to it?
Yes, I too wonder if any of the factors identified in their last fires were addressed. My guess is no.

Lots and lots of fire involved and everyone there chooses to be there.
Whether they knew beforehand, or not.
Probably better to play Welcome to Hotel Hellifornia in the background.
