World Health Organization Thinks of Black People When They Hear the Word Monkey

PM-

WHO renames monkeypox to ‘mpox’ to avoid racist connotations.

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Monday that it will no longer be using the name “monkeypox” due to complaints over the “racist and stigmatizing language” of the name.

“Following a series of consultations with global experts, WHO will begin using a new preferred term ‘mpox’ as a synonym for monkeypox,” the WHO said in a statement released Monday. “Both names will be used simultaneously for one year while ‘monkeypox’ is phased out.”

n 2015, WHO published the “best practices for the naming of new human diseases,” which stated that new disease names should be given “with the aim to minimize unnecessary negative impact of disease names on trade, travel, tourism or animal welfare, and avoid causing offence to any cultural, social, national, regional, professional or ethnic groups.”

  1. I believe it was in one of Mr. Ruark’s tomes that one of his characters said, “Well, they are only a couple of generations out of living in trees…” or something like that.

Not me or Mr. Ruark, one of his characters… Something of Value, Uhuru, one of those.

  2. Years ago when I was a kid I was at the zoo and there was a gorilla that flipped people off and would crap in his hand and throw it at the glass. As kids of course we thought this was funny and anytime somebody’s parents were taking them to the zoo, there would always be one or two of us who would tag along, just to see the gorilla again.
One day we were all standing there laughing at it and these two black guys came up and told us that he was their cousin. We didn’t know whether to laugh or run away.

  3. Lots of reasons to call Monkeypox more fitting names – Pervpox or Queerpox.
Leave poor monkeys out of it. They do what comes naturally. However,
people find the most freaky way to do anything that’s unnatural.

  4. It’s sometimes very weird how Black race baiters will self-identify with primates when it suits some bizarre political point.

Witness THESE gems from when Harambe the SILVERBACK GORILLA was put down to save a child that jumped in his enclosure…

“Killing an endangered gorilla at a zoo for a white boy’s safety is white privilege,” a man with the handle Hood Intellect posted on Twitter. “If the boy was black they would’ve found a tranquilizer.” Another Twitter user, Isa Ibn, wrote, “That gorilla was taken from it’s [sic] homeland, put in captivity, and then killed to preserve White life. That sounds familiar.”

..these and many more came out saying Harambe was killed because, African, and the tone only shifted a little when it was revealed that the child wasn’t White…
