This is ridiculous. It’s a Newser story about things Jews can’t do on certain days because of religious tradition. One obscurity, that I’m not sure Jews are even aware of, is that they cannot use a mechanical toilet paper roll. So they’ll tear sheets ahead of time.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not offended. It’s just that the left is perpetually offended about just about everything, which makes them dickbags when they do something like this –

Newser went the way of the crapper. For the record, Orthodox Jews do not tear paper, any kind of paper on the Sabbath any Sabbath nor do they create work – period. This includes writing, lighting. etc. – it’s a day of rest and Newser should have done the same – give it a rest!
Maybe they could do a hard-hitting piece about “obscure” muslim traditions and show a photo of a clitorectomy.
Neuter can’t associate a roll of toilet paper, or any other modern convenience for that matter with Islam. All that can be associated with is lame is pestilence and savagry.
