WV Legislature Passes Ban on Dismemberment Abortions Tearing Babies Limb From Limb

Lifenews: The West Virginia legislature gave final approval today to a bill to ban the dismemberment abortion method that tears unborn babies limb from limb. The West Virginia Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act, SB 10, successfully made it through the state legislature and now it heads to the governor.

The bill passed by a vote of 86-13 after more than an hour of debate. Any abortion practitioner who violates the ban would lose his medical license, essentially prohibiting him from ever doing abortions again.

Democratic Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has not said if he will sign or veto the bill.  MORE

  1. Now a political party is going to take the side that literally tearing a baby from limb to limb is a right protected by the constitution and that same party thinks owning a gun should be outlawed.

It all makes more sense. When you ponder the actual horror of they are advocating you understand their wish that no one was armed.

  2. It does matter how it is carried out.
Unless you believe that desecration of a corpse should not be a crime.
This is a very good thing as while the Feds have forced this slaughter upon us we still have an obligation to remove as much cruelty as possible from the process.
Don’t let the perfect become the enemy of the good.

  3. Who were the 13 that voted against this bill? And why? Something fundamentally wrong with the bill? Or were they just being poster children for late term post birth abortions themselves?

  4. @BWoodman:
Need you ask? All delegate who voted against the bill in the WV House are… wait for it… Democrats.

All Senators who voted against SB 10 in the WV Senate are… wait for it… Democrats.

This logic being followed, Governor Earl Ray Jim Bob Billy Jack Tommy Jo Tomblin, Democrat, is almost certain to veto the bill.

Fundamentally wrong with the bill? One senator stated “This bill interferes strongly with the doctor-patient relationship and does away with the safest procedure in the second trimester…” (Sen. R. Stollings,-D)

Safest for who? Certainly not the child.

  5. Tim; The dissection is done (usually with the baby still alive) for the express purpose of getting parts for human experimentation.
The smaller pieces come out more easily, often by flushing rather than squeezing and pulling.
It is a lot more work to cut up the kid rather than just grabbing ahold of it and yanking it out.
