Kevin McCarthy is a “California lawmaker” and has been in Congress for 15 years. He was in the California State Assembly from 2002-2006. He chaired the Young Republicans while attending California State University…….And therein lies the problem….He’s got terminal Californicated-itis….

McCarthy may be a swell fellow and in many ways very well qualified to be speaker. His position in leadership over the last decade and more implicates him in the succession of republican failures during that time.
It does not seem appropriate to reward failure, particularly repeated failures with advanced leadership authority.
Seven no votes so far for McCarthy for Speaker and counting. I wonder how long they will go before they give up on McCarthy, we’ll just have to wait and see.
