BigGovernment: During the October 11 airing of Meet the Press, host Chuck Todd asked Democrat presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) where he stands on allowing shooting victims to sue gun manufacturers. Sanders made it clear that he is opposed to holding gun store owners liable, but he believes there is room to hold manufacturers liable to some degree.
Todd’s question was based on the fact that Sanders voted for the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which President George W. Bush signed into law in 2005. more here

If we’re going to hold gun manufacturers liable for their products, we need to expand this idea across the board.
For starters, we need to immediately repeal all laws, codes, etc granting sovereign immunity to our lawmakers. This would make members of Congress personally liable for the results for their failed policies. Restitution for harm inflicted by the laws they pass could be pursued in civil court.
What’s the worry, Bernie? If you’re so convinced that your ideas are right, you should have nothing to worry about.
