D.C. Health Plans To Include Sex Changes
WASHINGTON (WNB) – D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray announced Thursday that the city will recognize Sexual Identity Confusion (SIC) as a medical condition, forcing insurance companies to cover treatments such as gender-reassignment surgery for transgender people.
“This isn’t about money, this is about paying to transform these SIC individuals into something other than what they were,” said Gray.

I just got the paperwork for my gallbladder surgery. The hospital charged my insurance provider $48,761.31 for JUST THE OR AND SURGEON. It was just a gallbladder! The most common surgery in the U.S. Med students know how to take out a gallbladder. A veternarian could have taken it out.
While discussing all the payouts and etc with the insurance rep, he told me about his appendix operation. $150,000!
Now, imagine ALL the associated costs of a sex change operation plus the operation itself. Taxpayers are probably looking at something north of three quarters of a mil. at least.
