This song is highly regarded as one of the better one hit wonder songs of the 90s.
But, today i learned that lead singer Gregg Alexander has a 1 Shit Wonder as well.
This is so bad it has a cult following. The lyrics about Hitler are so bad you start to think he is simply trolling, not sure if he’s serious or not.
I must admit, though, he wins me over when he starts yelling about the lawsuit. LOL.
If you’re a fan of horrendous, you’re gonna love this.
Dammit. I luv horrendous but the link is not linking!
Don’t leave me hanging,hat!
Torture Saturday?
I’m sorry that I missed that said no one ever
Holy Crap! I could only take 10-15 seconds of either one. Which one was the bad one?

Gayer than starting quareterbacks if they were women.
Careful BFH – That video and the one at that link are so bad, I may have to abandon this site. My ears are bleeding 😛
Not sure if ending one awful song with another is a winning combination, but he has Bono covered for incomprehensible screeching.
Guess I’m the only one who likes that song (the one hit wonder)…haha. Then again, I like everything – classical, bluegrass, rock, metal, alt-country, 70s rock, 80’s alternative and 90’s grunge.
As far as one hit wonders go: I’ll stick with Ram Jam

Or maybe
Venus – Shocking Blue
spirit In the Sky – Norman Greenbaum
video Killed the Radio Star – the Buggles
Wow I gotta watch what I wish for.
I can’t get the vision of Jim Morrison being baked in an oven out of my head.
Vietnam War rock and roll. The End.
@JDHasty – I will add to your list:
The Tokens – The Lion Sleeps Tonight, despite them having other memorable songs
The Cascades – Rhythm of the Rain
Zager and Evans – In the Year 2525
The Original Caste – One Tin Soldier
Yup, I am dating myself
Where is Leonard Pinthe Garnell when you need him?

Everybody: “Ahhhhhh Saturday.”
Fur: ” I FOUND SOUR MILK. Smell it. SMELL IT!!!”
^
lol.. yup.
Still better than anything Springsteen ever did.
I can’t wait for the duet album with Yoko Oh, no.
I am still trying to figure out how the Troggs got airplay with “Wild Thing”.
Three chords. Drums sounded like wet cardboard boxes.
It’s awful.
Alexander: Man, this song sucks.
Producer: S’okay. We’ll make a great video, no one will notice the rotten song.
World: 00:50 Ow!
In all seriousness, until just a couple months ago, I always thought “You Get What You Give” was a Todd Rundgren song.
I’ve got a fever and the cure is more claves.
@RogerF…

Rock Nihilism.
It may have begun with “Fire” by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown way back in 1967 or so.
It’s on my play list!
@PHenry
Around the time “Wild Thing”, came out, some band spoofed it and the lead singer sound like Senator and Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy.
It was funny till early June 1968.
Who’s Tod Rundigeg?
Jackie Blue, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, from my adopted neck of the woods. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qr0hcoksupQ

TimBuktu: the flip side of Wild Thing by “Senator Bobby” was by an imitator of Everett Dirksen
@Chi
Everett Dirkson – wow. I don’t understand why anyone would want to spoof him. But maybe he was worthy of laughter. LBJ would have been a great subject to make fun of in a song.
