If I’m not mistaken, Klinger is holding at port arms a M-1 Garand. That is a 30-06 beauty I’d love to own. For a military rifle the damn thing was accurate as hell.

I have the one my father in law carried in Korea.
The weight makes it pleasant to shoot, kick is about the same as my Remington lever action 30/30.
Not tremendously accurate, but well within a minute of deer or human out to about 150 yards. Once I learned the trigger I could get 3″ groups at 100 yards offhand.
That hat doesn’t go with that dress…
