President Donald Trump declared the Republican Party was done with the likes of Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah and former Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan on Saturday, pointing out that the MAGA movement had rescued conservatism from “RINOs.”
Trump explained at an electric rally in Newton, Iowa, “Together, we fought long and hard to rescue the Republican Party from the likes of Mitt Romney.”
Too bad it didn’t rescue the party from McConnell and the rest of the Rinos in the sty.

As an AD soldier I was fairly apolitical and had little time to worry about about the nation politically, although I always assumed the Republicans would take care better care of the nation, I had no concept of the Uniparty.
When I saw Romney take a dive in the debates a light went on, and the scales fell from my eyes.

…we went to a ecumenical prayer meeting called by my son’s Mormon tutor in 2012, and, God help us, I, my wife, and everyone in that room prayed as had as we could in a multiplicity of ways for a Romney victory.
But the Almighty being all-knowing knew what we did not, and did not grant those prayers as it would have been harmful to us.
