John Kerry: The Bible Commands America To Protect Muslims From Global Warming

Daily Surge

I’m not sure how it happened but, for some strange reason, Secretary of State John Kerry can’t stop talking about the weather.

In February he said climate change is as big a threat to the world as terrorism, poverty, and weapons of mass destruction. Last month Kerry said climate change is the “biggest challenge of all we face right now.” And today, at a ceremony to appoint Texas lawyer Shaarik Zafar as special representative to Muslim communities, Kerry told the crowd that it is America’s Biblical “responsibility” to “confront climate change.”

  1. “Our response to this challenge ought to be rooted in a sense of stewardship of Earth”

OK, asshat, which is it? Your idiot boss says we are nothing but another nation among nations, and he’s got us curled up in the fetal position right now, so figure it out. “degrade and destroy”, or “make it manageable”? There is no middle way.

  2. “…Our response to this challenge ought to be rooted in a sense of stewardship of Earth, and for me and for many of us here today, that responsibility comes from God…”

News flash Lurch: You’re quoting the wrong book. The Bible does not speak of Gaia.

Was there a lightning strike after the video ended?

  3. Every time I see this guy’s face, I wonder how many of his fellow military shipmates wished they had fragged his ass when they had the chance.

Kerry must be a constant reminder of missed opportunity.

  4. When I was young and said something really stupid, my Pappy would say “Now you are talking like a man with a paper asshole.”
-I never knew what he meant until now.
Another of his Pappy’isms was “If I want to hear from an ass I’ll fart.”
Every single day Obama or someone in his administration make me think of dear old dad.

  5. It never ceases to amaze me (although it shouldn’t) how these ‘progressives’ can so easily trot out the Bible when it fits their narrative, and then go right back to their “separation of church and state” when scripture gets too close to convicting them!

Jesus had it exactly right when He dubbed them Hypocrites!

  6. The progtards, being incapable of solving real problems, feel compelled to create imaginary problems that are equally unsolvable to everyone because they’re not really problems in the first place. That way progs can claim that everyone else is as incompetent as they are.

  7. @fullcirclethinker, what do you expect from an administration whose exec has constructed social policy from Cain’s response to God’s question, “Where is Abel thy brother?”. Cain answered with a sarcastic lie, “I know not. Am I my brother’s keeper?”.

The fact that both God and Cain knew full well that Cain had already murdered Abel makes Obama’s “my brothers’ keeper” program for the black community more than slightly ironic.

  8. Someone, ANYONE, gas up the SS Heinz 57 and send it to port in Pyongyang. With this brilliance, he’s dumb enough to actually bring down the Kim Family. Because the Bible tells me so…..

  9. The Left has already co-opted the Constitution, turning it into a “living document”, but co-opting the Christian Holy Bible, which gives us explicit warnings about adding or subtracting or reinterpreting scripture, is a bridge too far.

    Deuteronomy 4:2

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish [ought] from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

    Galatians 1:6-12

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught [it], but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

    Deuteronomy 12:32

What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

    Proverbs 30:5-6

Every word of God [is] pure: he [is] a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

    Revelation 22:18-19

The previous verses quoted were from old testament books. The final book of the Bible was the book of Revelation. It is physically the last book in the Bible, but it was also the last book written in the Bible (90 AD). Revelation begins with these verses:

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand. Revelation 1:1-3

    Revelation ends with these verses:

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

  10. And here I thought light was the first thing created. Silly me. Guess I better start looking for that verse ‘thou shalt worship Gia’ or the one about ‘thou shalt not useth petroleum product lest ye cause the Earth’s thermostat to sin’.

  11. “Confronting climate change is, in the long run, one of the greatest challenges that we face, and you can see this duty or responsibility laid out in Scriptures clearly, beginning in Genesis.”

Really John? Where? Odd, I don’t recall seeing that responsibility given to man in Genesis, or anywhere actually. Guess it just wasn’t clear enough for a simpleton like me?

  12. Kerry and his ilk are examples of the following verse;

    Psalm 14:1
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

@AbigailAdams, perfect Biblical references! Great job.
