And when you see those mountains in profile, those must have been some seriously hard up French “fur” trappers back then.
The first time I met a guy and he introduced himself as Harry Beaver, I laughed, until he pulled out his DL. No, he wasn’t NA.
Guess his mom and dad had a wicked sense of humour.
I have pictures of two of those peaks where you can actually make out the nipples. And that’s from a campsite about 10 miles away (10x zoom).
I imagine the trappers told travelers west to veer left of the big tit mountains until they found the pass to Idaho. And I don’t think many of them had much trouble finding their way.

I worked for a company that had a Candy who did the expense books. The guys I worked with all said their name was “Mongo”.
