Ryan: I support a ‘pathway to legal status’

WashingtonExaminer: House Speaker Paul Ryan iterated his support for a “pathway to legal status” for illegal immigrants Sunday, but opposed a pathway to citizenship, and also rejected the much more harsh immigration plan of GOP presidential primary front-runner Donald Trump.

“I think you could have a pathway to legal status… it’s a way to make amends with the law, effectively go on probation, and earn your way to legal status, but not to citizenship,” Ryan said on “60 Minutes.”

  2. Bullshit. It solves NOTHING as far as the socioeconomic and security issues go. It’s still a slap in the face to legal immigrants AND there are no repercussions for breaking our laws. As usual it is a win for them and lose for us. Who is vetting and monitoring these people? If they can do this, why not deport? I think families should stay together. Take the anchor babies with them. Many have already proven they have no interest in assimilating. Exactly what we expected from Ryan. Also from a President Rubio. It is a mystery, GOP, why Trump is doing so well.
