Backup energy supply is one issue, another is the pollution created in the manufacturing of the panels. Solar power is not the answer, unless of course you are asking a stoopid question.

The purpose of questions isn’t necessarily to satisfy quests for knowledge.
Solar power simply isn’t the answer to whatever question the statists are asking, vis a vis powering the modern state. At ~180 W/m^2 (average) that ain’t gonna cut the mustard. Even the most advanced, efficient collectors in the Universe cannot change the fact of how much sunlight impinges upon the Earth.
Green energy isn’t green. This has been a fact for decades. Yet the mainstream/socialist media, and the ones who really make it green for them, the government and their chosen facilitators of corruption, don’t want YOU to know that. Who was it that said, you cant get blood out of a turnip?
