CPR: In another story in the California Political News and Views we noted that the drug company that makes the lethal drug for assisted suicide is charging $3,000 for a dose—that is if you buy it privately. If you are government, the Medi-Cal system will pay $5400 for the dose to kill. That is money meant to save the lives of children and the elderly, instead it will be used to kill people.
“California would pay an estimated $5,400 per patient just for the drugs yet Medi-Cal patients still have no access to palliative care (designed to improve the quality of life for patients and their family facing serious illnesses.) Even more incredibly, a recent study has shown that Medi-Cal recipients have only a one in three chance of even getting cancer treatments under the system and often cannot obtain second opinions.
So long as California is moving towards a kill happy culture, I have a list of people who could use a dose of this stuff. Sure, they don’t seem to have any terminal disease that the doctors have found yet, and they haven’t expressly stated a desire for assisted suicide, but because I am a progressive I know what they really want and need.
How about 38 cents for a 12 gauge round and $50 to hose down the booth for the next contestant.

Medi-cal should buy the lethal heroin/drugs from some of the 60 odd drug dealers that obama pardoned, the price is much cheaper (less than $100) and the end result is the same.

A high building and a few photocopies of a naked Hillary would be a lot cheaper and just as certain.
I think that a triple dose of clonazepam taken with two shots of vodka, then a plastic bag and gaffer tape, would work just fine. The Medi-Cal regulators should try it out on each other first, though, to be sure it works OK.

There’s your supply for the lethal injection drugs for capital punishment that states have a hard time finding. Since the drug companies sell them to kill people, they shouldn’t have objections to that. (As long as they get a $2,400 premium)

In the big picture of things, if the welfare recipient’s life was prolonged for years, how much would the taxpayer be paying for their medical care? Give them the dose and be done with it–if they ask for it. Give them their wish.
Here’s a story:
DH is a Navy vet. He met another vet the other day in a wheelchair. The guy had everything you could think of wrong with him. Cancer, liver disease, amputated toes, lymphoma, and diabetes. He told DH that he gets $6,000/mth from the government due to being exposed to agent orange. DH was impressed and told him to have a nice time spending it. After we got in the car, I told DH what good is $6,000/mth if you don’t have your health and you can’t enjoy it. It’s even worse for the Medi-cal patient because they have no money to enjoy and they don’t mind taking and wasting the taxpayers money. It’s come to a point where it’s no longer sustainable.
Not too far off topic but, 500,000 lost their food stamp benefits yesterday. It’s about time the cocoapuffers who are able bodied got up off their ass and got a job. They also get that free medical care too, I wonder if they lost that benefit as well?
