As the Alabama Legislature came back into session Tuesday after a 12-day break dominated by news of a sex scandal involving the governor, a state lawmaker filed articles of impeachment against Gov. Robert Bentley, who admitted to having made racy remarks to one of his closest aides, but has been accused of much more.
Flanked at a news conference by three lawmakers representing both parties, State Representative Ed Henry, a Republican, presented the proposed articles declaring the governor, also a Republican, “unfit to serve the State of Alabama.”
“We’re looking at this governor who has essentially betrayed the trust of the people,” Mr. Henry told reporters at the State House. “The only course the people of Alabama have to address this issue is through the impeachment process.”
It is unclear whether the resolution has the votes to move forward, but it ensures that a scandal that Mr. Bentley has tried to push aside is not going to go away easily, if at all. While the more lurid aspects of the scandal center on an alleged sexual relationship between the governor and Rebekah Caldwell Mason, who resigned last week as Mr. Bentley’s senior political adviser, the particulars of the proposed resolution show just how multidimensional the scandal has become.

I wanted him impeached as soon as he back tracked on his no new tax pledge. He ran in 2010 as a staunch conservative and Christian. Turns out he is just another Slick Willy democrat.

You sort of have to be a narcissistic, sociopathic, highly charged, individual to go into politics, in the first place, so, yeah, an active libido makes sense.
Politicians take absolute demonic joy in fucking their constituents, whether of their County, their State, or their Country – so why would they not translate that into actual, physical copulation – with whatever, or whoever, was immediately available?

When I was in my 20’s I had a girlfriend whose best friend, straight out of high school, was “Office Manager” for a State Legislator in Olympia. Yea right.
Anyway, I attended parties in Olympia, and they were attended by both Republicans and Democrats and to a large degree the politician’s wives were even more loathsome than the Legislators themselves. The ones who were in attendance on the Olympia party circuit (and it was about two-thirds of them) were complete and utter whores who were unconcerned about who their husband was banging so long as she got to enjoy the proximity to power.
I have to salute this guy’s wife for having enough self respect to take him off at the knees. She is a rare bird when it comes to political wives.
