So far my sammich is a rare roast beef on a sourdough bread with lettuce, spicy sweet mustard, a skosh of horseradish, with pepper-jack cheese. And of course, a dill pickle slice on the side.
There was a Jewish deli in Apex that served that sandwich, and I loved it! The only problem I had was looking at that huge tongue in the display case. It was much, much worse when they pulled it out and put it on the slicer…I couldn’t even watch.
