Ya, it’s called a gun with six bullets.
But that’s not what the Brit publication recommends.

Funny, I was just reading about 5 or 6 things in a man’s belt that can help him escape and evade his enemies:

Nothing to do with muslims, though. Nothing at all. Just a routine public service announcement. Keep calm and carry on. Or is it lie back and think of England?
Shouldn’t she brush the hair before applying the hairspray?
These videos remind me of when you walk into a Chinese restaurant for take out and you look up at all those professional looking photos of the different meals they offer. They look great in the photo, but when you get home and slop it on your plate, looks nothing like that photo you saw.
Same with this, looks great in a professionally constructed video, but in real life, eh probably not. Is the attacker going to be so passive in his attack and during broad daylight? Is she always going to have the chance to surprise him being ready to attack? Is he always going to approach the left side so the lady has the best opportunity to swing her pre-armed right hand? What if he approaches from the right side, she isn’t swinging for the fences with her prepared shoe heel.
If the woman is not aware of her surroundings, those tips are worthless. How about a video on elbow strikes in close quarters or a foot stomp with those heels when the attacker is on her and she can’t have the opportunity to grab that pen out of the bottom of her purse.
For those I’ve taught in self defense class – for those times when you can’t or won’t use lethal force – I recommend a 600 lumen (or better) tactical flashlight and a kubaton. Along with the advice – if you can’t escape the situation – never give up – keep fighting.
Lazlo recently got an ASP
I work a lot on the Reservations and feral dogs run in packs up there.
I once got in a situation where I had to fire off a round to get them to back off me. That was when I decided I need a non-lethal option.
My Cop buddy advised me if not pepper spray, then a fire extinguisher.
Apparently the cops use extinguishers on house raids to shoo the dogs away.
Well, those options don’t work in a 40 mph wind, so I got a collapsible baton.
I feel a lot safer with that thing. Now I am taking the class because this thing can be deadly, and has serious legal ramifications if used improperly.
It cracks a coconut quite easily.
The worst asswoopin I ever had was in ASP certification class. We had to use them on each other. Very effective, but can easily maim or kill if used improperly…definitely take the course.
Obamaplease,
Absolutely taking the class.
Not anticipating the ass whoopin with much joy, but with power comes responsibility to use it properly
I can cite personal experience and say that shoes do work. However, the shoe I used was not a heel, but a clog. I used it to make mush from the mug of some snot-nosed little punk in The South Bronx almost forty years ago.
One of the most empowering experiences of my life.
