DailyCaller: A Florida audience offered Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (D) an uncomfortable reminder of what many Americans think of the Hillary Clinton — namely, that to call Democratic nominee for president “honest” is laughable.
Crist, who is challenging Rep. David Jolly (R-Fla.) for Florida’s 13th Congressional District seat, debated the incumbent Monday night. During the debate, Crist elicited laughter when he praised Clinton and specifically called her “honest.”
“I am proud of Hillary Clinton,” Crist said during the debate, in a clip circulate by the conservative America Rising PAC. “I think she’s been a very good secretary of state, a very good senator from the state of New York. The thing I like most about her is I believe she is steady, I believe that she is strong, I believe that she is honest, and I look forward to voting for her.”
Crist’s description of the candidate as “honest” brought the audience to laughter.
Honestly corrupt would be more like it.
