Are We That Far Away From Reporters Being Shot For Telling the Truth?

We point and laugh at countries like Russia and North Korea who have people who speak the truth thrown in jail, or worse, shot and dumped.

Are we that far away from that? It’s not that long of a jog when networks edit their journalists for saying something they didn’t like on air. That just happened to Joe Scarborough, of MSNBC, who criticized an NBC poll by saying “it couldn’t have been more cooked.”

When it hit the airwaves for a second time, that portion was removed. Left in was Mika saying that Hillary’s lead is 11%-14%, citing the widely debunked poll.

Our fourth estate is no better than Soviet style propaganda. Under the right conditions, which are not too far away considering the path we are on, Scarborough could very well take a dirt nap.

  1. Many of our nation are LAZY. They will not think for themselves, read for themselves, dig out the truths for themselves. They would rather sit in their recliners, swilling beer and booze, farting, eating hot chicken wings, thinking about grabbing sex organs, and watching the propaganda apparatchik telling them what to think on their tvs. That will stand them well in the gulags to come. Or they would rather stand on the street corners in the hoods, looking for “the man”, scoring drugs, diseased whores, and watching for the po po.

  2. Ever heard of Liarsville, AK? During the Gold Rush in the 1800’s in Alaska, men sold all their belongings and headed to Alaska to cash in on the gold fields. Reporters from all over the US parked their butts in what’s called Liarsville. They reported wonderful stories of nuggets being found the size of your fist. These miners arrived only to discover that they had to have a years provision to sustain them. Many of them starved to death trying to make it over the glaciers, while some made it back to Liarsville penniless and no gold. Some of the prospectors took matters into their own hands and up and shot the reporters dead. I kinda like that sort of vigilante and now you know how Liarsville, AK came to be. I’ve visited that little encampment twice and loved the story behind it.

That depends on what you think the truth is. I haven’t heard the truth from any reporter for a very long time – can’t even recall when. I have thought to myself though “why haven’t they been shot yet?” Then I remember the Liarsville story – we’re not too far off from that IMHO.
