“Genius” Behind Hamilton Play Vows To Keep Denigrating Trump

Few individuals in 2016 were more celebrated among wealthy coastal elites and other Hillary Clinton supporters than “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. He won all the awards and was repeatedly called a genius.

Miranda was also applauded in appropriate circles for his political activism, meaning his support for Hillary Clinton and disdain for Donald Trump.

In a recent interview with the Daily Beast, Miranda said the election had given him a “very pronounced case of moral clarity,” and promised to continue use his celebrity status to “fight” against the backwardness of Trump and his supporters.

Hillary Clinton invoked “Hamilton” a number of times throughout the course of her campaign. For some reason, this failed to resonate with working class voters in the Midwest.

In fact, the Democratic Party’s obsession with niche celebrities and fancy musicals has been become something of a running joke following the party’s poor showing with working-class voters in the 2016 election.

  1. In a rational world it would be acknowledged that there was no non-white person comparable to Hamilton and no non-white group as important to the world as the Founding Fathers.

    Only by the left’s condemned “cultural appropriation” can minorities feel good about their follower place in the world.

  7. For our wedding anniversary in August, my husband presented me with an envelope containing theater tickets. “I hope these aren’t for Hamilton,” I said with a laugh. My husband’s face fell. He’d heard the play was awesome and thought I’d be thrilled. He’d paid quite a sum and the first date he could get to see the show was a date in January 2017. He’d gone to great lengths to plan a trip, as we will have to travel to see this show. I explained I was put-off by the “no whites allowed” casting for the play but I would gladly go.

    Then the snotty lecture directed at Pence happened, and my husband said he would gladly NOT go. We’re gonna sell our tickets. Hope we make a nice profit. Off some liberal.

  8. Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it. In Miranda’s case, he never learned American history, so he gets to make it up. It is the perfect stage play for the last eight years of the make believe attempted Fundamental Transformation of the country that the Founding Fathers bestowed upon us. It is a Republic, not a tyrannical democracy! Thank you, Alexander Hamilton. God speed, Donald Trump as you restore our Republic.

  11. Denigrate Trump all they want to, it’s falling on deaf ears. Nothing has touched the guy yet, nothing has stuck. They tried to humiliate him with naked pictures of his wife, grabbing a “pussy” and the Bush guy already has a new job. Megyn tried to bait him with words about ugly women, blah, blah, and Trump said “I only said those things about Rosie O’Donnel.” So many instances and none of them stopped Trump. Most would have curled up never to be heard from again. This is why he is good for this nation. He fights back and they are the ones curling up. He’s pretty much dismantled the lying media, he got in their face and they’ve been left with no way to go. Go Trump!

  14. I want to remind people that it is white people who have made Hamilton a hit on Broadway.

    I have no blanket reverence for white people, just as I have no blanket hatred for black people.

    MM used a phrase called “race realist” which is a phrase that is supposed to define the moment you slump and submit to the fact that all blacks suck.

    I think “race realist” can also be used to define the moment when you realize that not all white people are great- namely, white progressives.

    They suck.. they suck hard.

    So let’s talk about white supremacy. I think whites and blacks could benefit from the elimination of the white and black progressive.
    And I’d submit that if you started with the elimination of the white progressive, there would never have been so many black progressives.

  15. In my mind this hasn’t had anything to do with black or white this entire election cycle. Obama has tried hard to start a race war in this country and to a certain extent it’s backfired. I see more white faces marching in BLM protests than black and I see more and more people with really good tans at conservative events. Skin color is no the primary issue that divides us it social class, economics, and indoctrination by the left.

The Founding Fathers knew exactly how hard it is to dislodge an oppressive government and to keep a new, limited government in check. They would be appalled at how we have let things go to hell and the cast of Hamilton is only a surface eruption, a boil on top of the rot that has infected the body politic..
