I’m still stumped by that last one that’s wrong. And from what you’ve told us, it must be either A20 FITTED YAK or D9 HEGIRA LADYBOYS. And given surrounding/cross clues, I’m zeroing in on FITTED and HEGIRA.
Technically speaking, the Hegira wasn’t a pilgrimage. It was a flapping ass-cheeks retreat. The only mohammadmen’s pilgrimage I know is the Hajj which even though it has multiple transliterated spellings, none of them fit.
Speaking of “fit” – that leaves FITTED in FITTED YAK (assuming, as I do, that YAK is correct). Cross clues leave the pattern F_T_E_ to play with to come up with something that if you bang on it enough with a big rock means “Custom made.”
