Into The Lion’s Den

Just as Daniel from the Old Testament was placed into the lion’s den by his enemies, Iranians today are traveling outside of the repressive Islamic state to be baptized only to return to spread the Gospel among their fellow citizens who have become disillusioned with the Mullahs.  More

  1. To turn your back and walk away from evil, when you are surrounded by it, is truly a step of Faith.

May Jesus’ cloak of protection be their covering as His light shines in the darkness of Iran and all islamic countries.

  2. I’ve been reading and listening this past year to many testimonies of former muslims who had dreams where Jesus came to them. One of my favorite apologists, Nabeel Qureshi, was a convert from islam. He talked always about the real danger he faced from his devout muslim family and it took him many years before he found the courage to be baptized for fear of breaking his parents’ hearts. But his faith was enormous and his story is compelling. He came to Jesus Christ because he fancied himself able to convince his Christian friend, David, that Christianity was false. He tried to find every instance of duplicity or hearsay or unverified scripture and instead was faced with the utter truth of Jesus.

Sadly, Nabeel died just this past year from stomach cancer. But his life, his testimony, outlives him.

Regulars here will know that I’ve often talked about Ravi Zakarias, as well. Both men are/were itinerate missionaries, spreading the Good News around the world. Nabeel, being a young man, specialized in college-aged audiences. If you want a real treat, look up Zakarias speaking at the Mormon Tabernacle. Another lion’s den for the Truth.

  3. pbird — Uh huh! That’s why it is such an amazing thing to listen to him there. He’s actually spoke to the mostly mormon audience twice. The most recent time is crazy good.

Mike — Thanks for posting that info. Acts 17 was the group who were arrested at that muslim street fair in Michigan or Minnesota for asking questions at the “Got Questions? Get Answers” booth and for talking to muslim teens who were interested in Christianity. All charges were dropped because law enforcement made up the infractions they were charged with. Nabeel had it all on video.
