  1. He should have skipped the “guessing” part entirely. He calls himself a meat expert, so he knows all the differences and prices cold. Kinda cheesy watching him being surprised by his own guesses.

Mortadella is not American bologna, although it comes from Bologna, Italy. Not a fair comparison. It would be like comparing a slice of American cheese to a slice of hand-crafted, extra sharp, cave-aged cheddar. He should have compared his boutique mortadella to a mass-produced mortadella from a company like Boars Head.

Sounds like a meat snob to me. Because, yeah, I’m going to pay $13.00 a pound for beef franks. I’d like to see the cost of the bun worthy of that hot dog!

  2. grool slice it very thin 1/16 of an inch or less don’t ask me why but it makes it taste better. It does not cost that much more then Boars bologna, makes a great sandwich of just rolled up and gobbled up.

  3. Easy identifier of unlabeled halal – a foul smell and maggot colonies. Welcome to the 7th century. Bon Appétit! Jihadists must be kept far away from our food supplies.

  4. Dave,

I really lost all taste for ham and even corned beef after going Keto. I can’t stand the sweet flavors the ham people use in curing.

Still love a good salami and Cheddar on a Keto fiber roll though.

Bacon, yum. So, maybe if I could afford a good prosciutto I’d like that.

  5. @AA We bought a LEM .5 HP grinder a few months ago. (Beats using the grinder/stuffing attachments for my KitchenAid.) Make Brats, Eyetalian and breakfast sausage. Also grind beef for tacos, meatloaf, burgers and meatballs. Now, we have to get a freezer. LOL. Keep looking for those pork butts at $.99/lb and eye of round for $1.99/lb. Leaving now to go pick up stuffed peppers da bro made with the ground round and Eyetalian.

  6. Guess I should mention my wife is my doctor. She makes me run with her, 5 miles a day.
I usually drop out at 2 miles. I used to be able to go 15. So I had to stop eating deli meat.
    I wasn’t fat tho.
