San Diego Votes 3 to 1 to Stand With Trump On Lawsuit Against California’s Sanctuary State

A really big fish is now standing with Trump in California.

Fox-

San Diego County voted Tuesday to become the latest in a string of local governments throughout California backing the Trump administration lawsuit against the state over its sanctuary city laws.

After hearing from residents, the all-Republican San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 3-1 to support a lawsuit by the federal government over laws it says limit police cooperation with federal immigration agents. One member was absent during Tuesday’s vote.

As the second largest county in California, San Diego — a region of 3 million residents that borders Mexico — is the largest county to back the lawsuit.

Supervisor Greg Cox, who cast the only dissenting vote, said in a statement afterward that “the board’s vote is a largely symbolic move that will create fear and divisiveness in our region, waste taxpayer funds and create distrust of law enforcement and local government within many communities.”

Dump Cox. He is not representing the prevailing sentiment of American citizens in his locale.

Times of San Diego-

Cox said he voted no because he believed the problem lies in Washington.

“We need leaders in both parties to finally come up with comprehensive immigration reform,” Cox said in a statement. “The county joining the lawsuit between the federal and state governments is unnecessary because this is an issue that is properly going to be addressed by the federal courts.”

Cox called vote a largely symbolic move “that will create fear and divisiveness in our region, waste taxpayer funds and create distrust of law enforcement and local government within many communities.”

  1. Brown may yet turn California into a group of city-states. In any event I hope the Mayors or County Boards are checking with the local Police as well as the local State Police on how they fall on the issue and what would they do if Brown directed the politicos arrest. Imagine if Brown and his AG issued arrest warrents and the police of all agencies refused to serve them. Browns reign would be over. The Dems in the State Senate would be screaming to activate the National Guard and put them in the streets however I think cooler heads will prevail and the Guard would stay in the barracks. The people would hit the bricks demanding new elections and in that environment (you can count on the illegals and some of the ferals to do some shopping with bricks) aa election could just place a very, very conservative Government in place. Then watch the cockroaches scramble.

  2. scr_north- Exactly.

Nothing happens until one person stands up and says, “You know what? Fuck YOU” and then that person stands alone for a bit until others find their balls, too. We wait far too long and put up with far too much. That’s how lame we have become in our era.

  3. Never trust anyone who talks about comprehensive reform. It doesn’t matter if it is Healthcare, Taxes or Immigration, comprehensive means they want it so large and complicated that no one can see all the problems they have inserted. Break down the legislation into small simple concepts where mischief cannot be hidden.

  4. Comprehensive.
    I hate that word.
Anytime that word is used like in Comprehensive-this or Comprehensive-that, it means the speaker has no idea what they actually want.
They are in love with the way all those complicated syllables sound coming out of their mouths.
They have been trained to talk over you, drop all forms of debate and conversational respect and conviviality, with no other goal other than to be the one speaking at all times, thus silencing you.
