I disagree. There’s enough anecdotal evidence of false flags and hoaxes to suggest that the cameras keep the lying SJWs from committing racist acts against themselves.

By installing those cameras, Westfield State is interfering with the ability of SJRRs¹ to get high on their favorite drugs. Those drugs are the pleasure-inducing brain chemicals released when they experience self-righteous indignation. Those chemicals are quite literally addictive, and sanctimony is very self-reinforcing.
