Are we concerned about robots yet?

That Yul Brynner creep in Westworld just kept coming and coming. Now he’ll be able to run and jump?

We’re doomed.

  1. Boston Dynamics started out in life as Boston Stepper. They built Stepper Motors for pick and place mechanisms. Just sayen, that revenue does not support this shit. I’m worried. You should be too.

  2. If it’s made out of titanium then these robots will be easily defeated. Just notify the hood rats that the metal will scrap out at 10 times as much as copper will. These machines will be smothered by and completely dismantled by the derelicts for crack and meth money.
    There you go, threat neutralized.

  3. @ Bad_Brad:

Boston Dynamics started out in life as Boston Stepper.

Google bought the company in 2013, then sold it last year to Softbank Group a Japanese company, price not disclosed.

Maybe the Japanese are trying for some way around their constitutional limitations on military forces by creating an army of robots. (I’m not being entirely serious, but also not being entirely NOT serious.)

  4. Compare the state of personal computers in 1974 to today. Then imagine the state of robots 44 years in the future. Bound to drive dramatic changes in jobs and society. Good and bad. The concern is trying to not think the negative side wont weight more than the positive side.

  5. Anony,

If communists truly ruled the world why am I still here frustrating you commies with my comments?

Answer: Because you commies aren’t ruling the world. Commies live in a bubble of deception based on feelings and tyranny. Truth will always beat you.
