  1. Funniest thing I ever saw was a midget dressed as Hervé Villechaize at an RC model plane event walking around saying “De Plane! De Plane!” This was back in the 80s when you could get away with stuff like that without winding up on You Tube for the rest of yer life!

  2. I recently watched this on the Motor Trend channel (which used to be the Speed and Velocity channel), it was pretty cool. I’ve been a big fan of My Favorite Car since they used to show it on PBS on Saturday mornings. Of course being a car nerd and growing up in a family of automobile mechanics helps. My daughter tells me it’s just a car whenever I see an old car drive by and I go on to explain what kind of car it is and she just rolls her eyes at me and says “Yeah sure, Dad.” I just picked up a small metal sign at Hobby Lobby which says Old Guys Rule and shows a red 56 Ford F-100 P/U truck since we had one of those when I was growing up (it was an ex Forest Service truck which my brothers and I drove for many yrs.) and it also says “Don’t make’em like they used to.”

  3. I still want a 1940 Ford Tudor Sedan hot rod, or a late 30’s to early 40’s Lincoln Zephyr, a torpedo back GM car from the late 40’s to early 50’s, a mid 30’s Chrysler Airflow and some late 40’s or so Studebaker Champions and a Studebaker Hawk, cool cars all, and our 1962 Dodge station wagon with the push button automatic transmission with a 318 c.i. V-8 in it, I loved that car.
