US Oil Output Hits 12 Million Barrel-A-Day Milestone Way Ahead Of Schedule

DC:

U.S. crude oil production hit 12 million barrels per day in mid-February, according to the Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) latest report.

EIA’s weekly petroleum report, for the week ending Feb. 15, showed crude output jump more than 1.7 million barrels per day compared to the same time in 2018 — from roughly 10.3 million barrels per day to 12 million barrels per day.

“U.S. oil and natural gas production is breaking every record in the book, which helps families and businesses and our national security across the board,” Dan Kish, a distinguished senior fellow at the Institute for Energy research, told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Indeed, drillers continue to beat analysts’ expectations. For example, EIA’s November 2018 energy forecast didn’t see oil output hitting 12 million barrels per day until mid-2019. The month before, EIA didn’t see the U.S. hitting that milestone until the fourth quarter of 2019.   more here

  1. Great.

So why won’t my GAS prices go down?!?

“DeWine is seeking an 18 cent-per-gallon increase in his $7.4 billion two-year transportation budget, which was presented to lawmakers Thursday morning. That would kick gas tax from 28 cents per gallon to 46 cents and would raise an estimated $1.2 billion a year for the state’s pothole-pocked roads and deteriorating bridges, including $480 million for local government projects.

The tax hike would take effect July 1 and increase with inflation each year starting in July 2020. A 46-cent state gas tax would be the fifth highest in the country”

    Uh-huh. And this from a “Republican”, too…

  2. I’m really glad for you guys but can someone be kind enough to do something about your Tom Steyer who keeps throwing money around up here in Canada to native groups, greens, politicians and the rest of the dirt eating, tree hugging druids to stop pipelines from being built that would allow is to ship our heavy crude to refineries down south or to the east or west coast for sale to other countries. The man is a lying piece of shit and I’d bet money he’s making a pile of cash off “green” energy loans and grants and probably still has a few Chinese coal mines tucked away. He desperately needs an accident of some sort.

  3. …interesting thing about the Ohio gas tax hike, is that it’s for the crumbling infrastructure.

The same infrastructure that Kasich had SUPPOSEDLY looted the cities to pay for.

The same infrastructure that Obama had SUPPOSEDLY got the “Stimulus” for.

…interesting side note about the Obama Stimulus. When he was pimping it, he came to Cincinnati for two reasons. One, we had an Obama Mini-Me Mayor at the time in the person of Mark Mallory, who looked, acted, and dressed like Obama, and even couldn’t pitch a baseball like him. Two, because he wanted the Brent Spence bridge over his shoulder, which carries I-75 over the Ohio river and was falling apart even THEN, as an icon of WHY we needed the stimulus.

Funny thing is, that the Brent Spence technically belonged to KENTUCKY. Bammy was on the wrong side of the river.

Also, it was never replaced. Huh, Barry lied, who knew?

We DID get a dumbass streetcar that only did a mile loop that no one but Mr. Mayor wanted, though, so there’s that…

…watch out for “infrastructure” taxes. They’re always anything BUT…

  4. There has been a pipeline bottleneck in the Permian so we haven’t seen the top end yet. Too much oil, not enough infrastructure to move it. We should see that later this year.

Like SNS said above, we don’t realize the full benefit because many so-called Republican governors love a gas tax. We just went through that with Haslam who owns part of the Flying J gas station franchise.

  5. While I am glad this production adds to our country’s piggy bank, I would still rather use up other people resources, first. If we buy their stuff now, ours will be worth a hella’ lot more when everybody else’s runs out. Am I right, or Amarillo? Comments will be appreciated.
