UPDATE- .45-70 needs a pick me up

A little birdy has alerted me that .45-70 is under the weather.

If he sees this it just could be the pick me up our friend needs.

WillysGoatGruff has given us an update:

He’s been transferred to a regional medical center and is in ICU. They might send him to a University Medical Center.

Thank you for your very kind posting for him and the AMAZING response from the IOTW community.

There are several issues happening at once, but he’s a fighter. He can get through this.

    Two jiggers of Irish Whiskey, One tblspoon of honey, 4 oz warm water, stir well, and down the hatch with it. You’ll be back on your feet in no time at all. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day– All.

    If Moe Tom’s recipe doesn’t work then try a cup of tea, shot of brandy and a tablespoon of lemon. Down the hatch and you are back in action the next morn!

  27. A cup-o-la thoughts on modern medicine

    A woman goes into labor with her child. The doctor says that they have invented a new device to transfer the pain of childbirth to the father. He asks if it is ok to use the new device. The couple agrees and so he turns the pain to the father to 10%. The man feels nothing. They then bump it up to 20%. He still feels nothing. They keep doing this until they have the machine up to 100%. The man still felt nothing so they go home happy until they find the milkman dead on the porch.

    Two hunters were walking through the forest one day. All of a sudden, one of them passes out. The other hunter panics and dials 911. The emergency responder says “911, what’s your emergency?” The hunter replies “My friend just passed out and I don’t know what to do! I think he might be dead!” The emergency responder replies “Before you do anything, make sure he is dead.” The phone goes silent and then the responder hears a gunshot. The hunter gets back on the phone and says “Ok, now what?”

    And finally…… Well, it can’t all be sunshine and hookers…… Get well soon!

  29. @.45-70: Another recipe from another friend, to add to Moe Tom’s and Johnny’s. Minced fresh garlic, hot water and honey tea. It DOES work.I suggest all three in sequence and moderation.

    Get your 300gr gc back to 1800 fps ASAP…

  32. Since tomorrow’s St. Paddy’s Day, you could always try the Irish Two Hat Remedy:

    When an Irishman starts feeling bad, he hangs his hat on a nail in his bedroom wall and gets in bed with a bottle of whiskey. He drinks the whiskey until he sees two hats. Then he goes to sleep.

  37. as a codicil to Moe Tom’s recipe …. now this is important, so pay close attention: take the 4 oz. of warm water & throw it over your left shoulder (try to do this outside so you don’t yank off the spouse). apply the whiskey w/ honey regularly

    … now, take your medicine … you’ll thank me in the morning.

  39. .45-70, if you have a dog get on the couch with him or her with some hot chocolate and some pooch treats and watch some old movies, none of that new crap they have been churning out for the last 50 years. I would recommend It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Saw it as a teen when it came out at the Drive In. Still funny today.

  78. .45-70 ‘spit the bit’ last night and was last seen running across the Rainbow Bridge to be with his beloved cocker spaniels and the love of his life Diana…..RIP Dan’l……

    He took great pleasure in this very kind post and all of the heartfelt comments….
