  1. The Flying V… one of the best sounding (they use the same hot pickups as in the 1960 Les Paul Classic) and WORST ergonomic weird -ass I-can’t-sit-with-it-nor-stand-with-it guitar ever made.

  2. It is nice work, Anonymous.

Also, other Anonymous, I thought the flying V was an odd choice too. However, it’s a good design to cut weight for an all epoxy guitar, and it shows off the jawbreakers really well. I don’t think a Strat body would work as well for this project.

He went bold. Kudos to him.

  3. A Strat wouldn’t work at all… well, I’m pretty conservative. If it isn’t black, 3 tone, or 2 tone sunburst, or white, or candy apple red, or blue, or Blonde, I think it’s gay.

If it was an SG it would at least be a guitar you could play.

I’m being a dick. The Flying V had the best neck for “getting” to all the frets. But it’s fucked up to hold.

  4. @Anon – Had a mid 70’s Gibson L6-S, only Gibson I’m aware of that had a factory maple neck.
Loved it! Dumb kid I was traded it.
Missed it so much, Replaced with a Crestwood re-issue.
Amazing axe, agree ’bout the ‘V’ ,,,

  6. Tone wood went out the window even before lucite guitars. I played an old lucite Stratocaster… and it sounded like…a…Stratocaster. Ibanez also made plastic guitars — OMG they were HEAVY as shit, but they sounded like guitars.
