EX-CIA OFFICIALS FUME ABOUT DECLASSIFICATION ORDER, IGNORING PREVIOUS LEAKS OF SECRET SOURCES AND METHODS
Former intelligence community officials, including former CIA director John Brennan, have expressed concern over President Donald Trump’s declassification order due the potential release of CIA sources and methods.
“The concern is that very, very precious source and methods of the United States intelligence community as well as our partners and allies abroad — those who share this sensitive information with us,” Brennan said on MSNBC on Friday.
But Brennan’s concern, which was echoed by other intelligence community veterans and TV pundits on Friday, may be misplaced.
Government officials who appear to not be allies of Trump have been behind countless leaks of classified information regarding sources, methods and investigative targets in the Trump-Russia probe. Some of the leaks have disclosed the existence of surveillance warrants and FBI informants used against the Trump campaign.
In one case, the FBI official who led the investigation into Russian interference, Peter Strzok, believed that the CIA was leaking highly classified assessments about Russia’s election-related activities to the press.
“I’m beginning to think the agency got info a lot earlier than we thought and hasn’t shared it completely with us. Might explain all these weird/seemingly incorrect leads all these media folks have. Would also highlight agency as source of some of the leaks,” Strzok wrote in a text message on April 13, 2017.
“Think our sisters have begun leaking like mad. Scorned and worried and political, they’re kicking in to overdrive,” Strzok wrote on Dec. 15, 2016, a day after NBC News reported that the CIA believed that Vladimir Putin directed the computer hacks against Democrats.
I only hope that this leads to a purge of all the bad actors in the alphabet agencies. Way overdue and much needed.

Brennan is worried “becus” he is a leaker, big time.
They’re upset, because they’re about to be CAUGHT!
They carefully picked what to leak to manipulate people into believing what they wanted them to. They controlled the narrative by being selective. Declassifying will show the whole truth.

I keep a sorta mental tab of words and phrases that take on a life of their own in peoples’ imaginations and become fetish-ized, particularly those words and phrases that are established by gov’t bureaucrats (and every one of those who are squawking and “concerned” are, indeed, tax-paid bureaucrats):

While it is important that we know the who, why and how of what happened to bring about “Spygate”, it is imperative that AG Barr understand (on behalf of we, the American people) why it is imperative. To not expose the truth of mere bureaucrats’ ability to legislate and make up their own language to describe the “law/rules” from behind their bureaucratic fiefdoms is to pave more highway on the road to despotism.
I listened again to Evelyn Farkas’ candid explanation of why it was important that the FBI and other security organizations gather and report as much about candidate Trump and president-elect Trump to “the Hill” before her boss, obama, left office in order to preserve “sources and methods” and keep then secret from the incoming, lawfully-elected president. It’s chilling that the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia and Ukraine believed this was the lawful, nay, righteous, thing to do.
But, it’s because of what Farkas said and how she said it, that allows me to understand how Clapper, Brennan, Comey, et al, can so thoroughly think in the same manner.
The cabal has run out of straws to grasp, so now they’re grasping at warts.

@Uncle Al & Jimmy — No matter what they are grasping at, this episode in bald-faced lawlessness cannot go unchallenged. It is impossible to conceive of anything else the government would or could do that can equal the devastating aims of these people who tried to bring down a lawfully-elected president of the United States.
All the rest — all the thunder and bluster — in just tiresome chaff. It’s what they did and that there remains those who would do it again.

Although your point is an excellent one, I can conceive of something worse. This all started out when the BHO administration, possibly with precedent set by prior administrations, decided to use the govt for their own political ends via the IRS, FBI, NSA, and CIA (and likely others). The “worse” I’m seeing is that these terrible people undertook to overthrow the govt of the Trump administration NOT because they thought they were “saving the country” but simply to save their own skins. Trashing two+ centuries of peaceful and orderly transfer of power after elections was of no particular significance to these traitors.
They all need to be frog marched in chains and shackels off to the nearest Fedl. prison after being tried for treason and then summarily executed. Take your choice gents, it’s either the gallows or the electric chair, firing squad or the guillotine. No euthanizing them and putting them to sleep and then bury them in unmarked graves after their worthless, traitorous bodies are thrown into a lime pit.

The problem, I think, is that when the Democrats/Progressives literally run around like chickens with their heads cut off and literally shouting that the world is ending in twelve years, they rob the very serious business of coup attempts of its gravity. A coup becomes no more or less important than a famous athlete “transitioning” to a woman, say, or anything else that is not really news.
Give them all a fair trial, hang a few, and send the rest into exile at Gitmo

I just watched, for the umpteenth time “John Brennan speaks on National Security at NYU.” It’s about 30 minutes.
He joined the CIA under Carter and became Director under Obama.

Lowell, thank you. I don’t express my thoughts as coherently as I should, but one thing I’m convinced of is the gravity of what is unfolding right now should shake all patriots to the soles of their feet.
I’m still trying to understand how whistle blower, Dennis Montgomery, a former contract employee of the NSA, was completely ignored by the U.S. press. He’s the one who was contracted to build what is now known as the “Hammer” — the database of intelligence captured by the NSA on American citizens — millions and millions of them — at the behest of obama. I hope this situation gets some air and light, too.
Too bad, so sad. Hope prison sex is as fun as f**king us over was.
