Mueller Should Be Indicted on Process Crimes He’s Committed

DC-

Former Trump attorney John Dowd on Monday accused the special counsel’s office of ambushing him and attempting to smear his reputation in the Russia report by selectively quoting from a voicemail he left for Michael Flynn’s attorney.

“Isn’t it ironic that this man who kept indicting and prosecuting people for process crimes committed a false statement in his own report. By taking out half my words, they changed the tenor and the contents of that conversation with [Flynn lawyer] Robert Kelner,” Dowd said of former special counsel Robert Mueller in an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity.

The special counsel’s report portrays the transcript as reading:

[I]f . .. there’s information that implicates the President, then we’ve got a national security issue, . . . so, you know, . . . we need some kind of heads up. Um, just for the sake of protecting all our interests if we can …

That portion of the transcript released Friday reads:

If, on the other hand, we have, there’s information that. .. implicates the President, then we’ve got a national security issue, or maybe a national security issue, I don’t know … some issue, we got to-we got to deal with, not only for the President, but for the country. So … uh … you know, then-then, you know, we need some kind of heads up. Um, just for the sake of … protecting all our interests, if we can, without you having to give up any confidential information.

Alan Dershowitz, the retired constitutional law professor, agreed that Mueller should have published the entire transcript of Dowd’s voicemail.

“This is a very, very serious issue,” he said. “The distortion of the Dowd quote is very serious.”

  1. That’s probably why the rickety old bastard is fraying at the seams. He knows that what he’s been doing to others for years is coming back to bite his bony ass.

  2. One aspect of this whole sordid affair that really pissed me off was the incestuous nature of all the players. Mueller was best buds with Comey, why in the hell was he chosen to investigate his best friend? Comey was best buds with McCabe, of course he was going to give him a long leash. Barr is buddies with Mueller and it shows in how deferential (obsequious) he has been to him.

Fortunately John Durham is not buds with anyone and his specialty is investigating/prosecuting law enforcement corruption, just the guy we need.

Meanwhile…. Manafort is being sent to The Hole at Rikers “for his own protection”.

Is there no one within the system with an ounce of moral courage who’ll mete out justice fairly?

  4. Is there no one within our system who will stand up to and punish the misdeeds of our law officals??? Seems not, we are now hold the honor a of third world justice system. Write America off.

Bob may not be happy, but he has not fear! With good reason!

  6. That fucker would have prosecuted someone for saying they wore black socks on a Sunday 18 years ago when there was a black and white photo showing the socks might have been dark gray. It is time to start perp walking all these treasonous assholes.

New Trump-Russia subplot: Mueller and Barr are ‘good friends’
Trump’s attorney general nominee told senators the president knows about his 30-year relationship with the special counsel, whom Trump says is out to get him.

“Why it isn’t more troubling to Trump, who, Barr said, is aware of the relationship, remains a mystery.

Barr and Mueller first crossed paths at the Justice Department during the George H.W. Bush administration. But the relationship goes further: Their wives are close friends who attend Bible study together, and Mueller attended the weddings of two of Barr’s daughters.

“They have a high level of respect for each other,” said Paul McNulty, a former senior DOJ official who led the department’s policy and communications shop while Barr was attorney general and Mueller served as the head of its Criminal Division. “They have maintained a good friendship ever since.”
