In live in a neighboring town and MJA is correct, declaring yourself a Democrat will greatly increase your chances of getting voted in. The Democrats around here (local pols) are more like JFK Democrats, not the socialists we see nationally. But I still vote against them. In fact the county has voted Republican on every national election I can remember.

Great speech. Yeah, he definitely sounds like an old school JFK Blue Dog Dem. Bet, if asked, he probably still supports unions, government social programs. Still, he gets it – socialism sucks. It’s designed to destroy liberty and freedoms.
