Whoopi has a sentient moment – Shreds 300+ House Members for Blowing Off 9/11 Moment of Silence

Mediaite-

Wednesday morning on the steps of the House, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) led a brief ceremony to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. More than 100 members of Congress stood with the two-party leaders and observed a moment of silence.

More than 300, however, did not take part in the ceremony. And the no-shows drew the ire of Whoopi Goldberg. Wednesday on The View, Goldberg slammed the House members who skipped out on the commemoration.

“Apparently only 26 percent of House members showed up to the moment of silence on the steps of the Capitol this morning,” Goldberg said.

“Shameful,” colleague Meghan McCain said.

Goldberg went on to take the Members of Congress to task over their absence.

“We don’t know why they weren’t there, but this might not have been the right day to screw around with the optics,” Goldberg said. “I’m just saying, you know, this is a moment that affected everyone in this country. Not just New Yorkers. They came for America. They hit us here first and then went other places to take us, try to take us down. That affected many more people than just us here, and this is an American issue. And every one of you people — every one of you — should be out there, honoring what you didn’t have to do, that they did.”

  1. Were the absentees doing something more productive to commemorate the 9/11 mohammadmen terrorist attack? Fund-raising for the families of deceased first responders, maybe?

Maybe not, but until I know otherwise I won’t condemn any of those congressvermin for skipping a Nasty Nancy virtue signaling session.

  2. I think that if I were a representative and in town I would try to attend but wouldn’t feel obligated to change my schedule to be in town. As a normal citizen I always find some way to personally recognize the day.

I forgot whether I mentioned it here, I read a few days ago that Whoopi got her name because of her uncontrollable farting. Really!

  3. Uh oh, I’m sensing a pattern here. Hollywood A-Listers publicly praising Gary Senise for his support of our military and their families and now Goldberg yipping about 9/11? What’s next, Sean Penn fundraising for the southern border wall? Something smells very fishy.

  4. @Abigail – here’s something that will amaze you. I was looking through my brother’s old Jr. Hi yearbook, and in 9th grade Sean Penn won the Optimists Award! This is well before he was anybody, he must have been a pretty good kid at the time! I have heard some stories from friends about him in more recent times, not always so friendly.

  5. Just remember, every day we have troops in Ashcanistan is 9/11 remembrance day. We’re killing muslims there. Costs a few million dollars for every dead body we generate, but hey, we’re supporting our defense industry like a motherfucker.

And those soldiers of ours that get killed or maimed, it’s worth it to keep something or some body from maybe doing something somewhere. Just ask around, those goat fuckers up in their mountain caves are an existential threat to America as we know it.

Somebody tell me again how many of the 9/11 attackers were Afghani’s and how many were Saudi’s? How many Saudi’s were flown out of our country when every other civilian flights were grounded? Why would our government do that? And who thought it needed to be done and made sure it happened?
