Justice Sonia Sotomayor said she is concerned the Supreme Court is going out of its way to help the Trump administration.
The high court voted along ideological lines on Friday to grant the Trump administration’s demand for an emergency request to stay an injunction in an Illinois case regarding the restriction of low-income immigrants from entering the United States. Sotomayor wrote in an opinion that her conservative colleagues on the Supreme Court, who have the majority, are “putting a thumb on the scale in favor of” the Trump administration.
“It is hard to say what is more troubling,” Sotomayor wrote on Friday. “That the government would seek this extraordinary relief seemingly as a matter of course, or that the Court would grant it.” More

There could be some correlation between the vast number of lawsuits filed by democrats over every policy President Trump has established.
She’s yet another liberal operative, appointed by Obama (or Clinton) who is now looking at November with dread. If Trump gets reelected with a large edge in the popular vote as well as the electoral college, retains or increases the majority in the Senate and takes back the House then the SCOTUS will likely be changed for at least a full generation because Ginsberg will replaced (although she’s giving it the old college try nobody lives forever), Stephen Breyer will likely retire (he’s 82 now) and be replaced and Thomas may decide to retire (he’s 72 now) as long as a constitutional respecting replacement is found. That would leave only Sotomayor and Kagan the only liberals and constitution shredding judges on the bench. With the exception of Alito (he’s 70 now) the rest are young enough to stay there for good long time.

Pets, boats. I have a good one for you. About 10 years ago, middle of summer, the wife and I hook up the bast blaster and head for the California Delta. Gonna do some Frog fishing on weed mats. For those of you not familiar with Bass Boats, they’re pretty damn fast. A big fishing platform, and efficient hull and a big outboard. Mines been radar at 78.
The Deltas a huge body of water and that 100 degree plus day we ran most of it. At the end of the day I pull up along side the dock, the wife takes her life vest off and opens the storage locker right behind her seat to stow her life jacket and what pops out? Our house cat. We’re both like WTF? The cat road home in the cab of the truck shook. We got home and I don’t think that cat ever ventured outside again.
