Kathy Griffin said she couldn’t get tested for the coronavirus despite exhibiting “unbearably painful symptoms.”

Griffin tweeted Wednesday that she was sent to a “COVID-19 isolation ward” at “a major hospital” and was unable to get a test. The 59-year-old comedian, who lives in Los Angeles, included photos from her hospital room. In one shot, Griffin can be seen laying down with a mask. It’s unclear if she’s still in the hospital or when the pictures were taken. Yahoo Entertainment reached to a representative for Griffin for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

The comedian made the revelation in response to a tweet from President Trump who exclaimed, “the United States has done far more ‘testing’ than any other nation, by far.” Griffin said the president is “lying,” and claimed the hospital she was sent to couldn’t test her for COVID-19 because of CDC restrictions.     But I would recommend she become a glamorous medical tourist and seek definitive treatment overseas in Milan, Mexico City or Moombai, or better, in Beijing.

    One of my sons was sicker than he’s ever been. He has no insurance. He went to the hospital and they tested him immediately.
    If he can get tested in a small population area like our area with no insurance she can get tested.
    Unless the doctors and nurses just didn’t want to touch her for any reason.

    Whenever anyone tells you something, unless it’s truth is obvious and known to you, always ask yourself and the person telling it to you (if possible) “How do I know that this is true?”.

    In this case of Griffin, the answer is that you don’t and you can’t know that, which makes it something you should consider a probable falsehood until that proof is given.

  18. Now I started reading the linked story and saw she was posting about her husband. That’s a horrifying thought–being married to Kathy Griffin. I’m so sorry for him, whoever he is. If I was him, I’d be licking door handles and toilet seats everywhere.

  19. From what I read as follow-up to this “story” — and who can tell what is true in the media? — she didn’t have WuFlu symptoms, anyway. She had an “abdominal infection”. And with all the work she’s had on her body and all the strange dieting things she’s done, who knows what caused her pain. It seems obvious enough she has a mental disorder that she masks by calling what comes out of her mouth “humor.” A lot of actors, rappers, comedians and celebrities use the same foil. Like I’m going to listen to a crazy person just because they won an Emmy? Not bloody likely.

    Maybe she should ask her state why they are not as prepared as she thinks they should be.

    As well, she could go to one of those Plastic Surgery Clinics that are all over California and see how much help and how important they are now.
