Doesn’t the FCC deal with sort of false reporting. Up here we have the CRTC (jury is still out on whether that group is useful) and you can file complaints with them and they are duty bound to investigate and have the power to level fines, force retractions and even revoke broadcast licenses. It strike me that during these times it’s incumbent upon the media to be extra careful to ensure the accuracy of everything they broadcast (ok, ok stop laughing).

I got rid of my television in the 1980s, and this shit was a big influence on me doing so. The one I have now for the kids plays video discs we get from the library, PBR Bull Riding, Lucas Oil Sprint Car Racing and Disney Plus

It’s like CBS keeps yelling “FIRE!” in a crowded theater.
That’s what I’ve found missing, actual reporting and video of overwhelmed hospitals and emergency rooms.
Where I live, the four closest cities actually seem to be having fewer people in their emergency rooms than before, Maybe fewer people wanting to freeload without insurance using them to get free care?
Maybe NYC is having a problem, but they have as much population as a State by themselves and their overall infrastructure, healthcare and otherwise, is barely adequate to start with.
This is like shouting “FIRE” in a crowded theater.

Pull their broadcast licenses and put them in jail.
Journalistic malpractice at best. Akin to yelling “fire” in a crowded theater. Or as Joe Biden might say, “Like yelling “theater” in a crowded fire.
In a possible defense of CBS, they probably didn’t know the difference.
The nose-picking slapheads can’t figure out what continent they’re on, much less which country.
