Ratcliffe sworn in as next director of National Intelligence

Just the News: Former GOP Rep. John Ratcliffe was sworn in Tuesday morning as the director of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. He takes over for Richard Grenell, the former U.S. ambassador to Germany who served the role in an acting capacity for the past several months.

Ratcliffe was confirmed by the Senate last week in a 49-44 vote. Ratcliffe was initially nominated for the DNI position in 2019, but withdrew his name as criticism over his qualifications for the job emerged. read more

    Alright Ratcliffe, it’s showtime!!

Yes! You’re ON, Director Ratcliffe…break a leg! (How about Brennan’s leg, or McCabe’s?)

Mr. Ratcliffe, we had a very pleasant surprise in the outstanding attitude of and results from your predecessor, Acting Director Ric Grenell. You have a much tougher act to follow, sir, than any of us anticipated.

  2. I think I’d be more confident if Grenell stuck around for a while longer…..Ratcliffe may be too deferential to his lifer employees as he learns the ropes.

  3. I hope he’s like Grenell. Declassify everything they hand to him.

    Grenell: Are those declassified?
    Agent: Yeah.
Grenell: Cool [ snaps photos, puts them online]
    Agent: Wait! Don’t …
    Grenell: [Door closes behind him]

    lol

  4. govlawyer- I think he’s staying long enough to show him what’s where. Grenell hasn’t been reassigned yet.
I’ve been checking and there’s no valid reassignment chatter yet. The rumor is they want to put him in Dept of state and move pompeo to mess with the Pentagon. But who knows.

Whatever happens, we know Ratcliff knows what to look for since he’s been debunking the russia hoax all along.
